Proof Standards

We honor the story, but we do not fake the proof

Thomas Planet can preserve records, memory, and myth together because each public claim carries a clear label.

Proven by records

Backed by strong documentary records such as census, probate, deed, court, church, or vital records.

Strongly supported

Several sources point in the same direction, but one perfect proof record may still be missing.

Likely working theory

Plausible and useful for research, with a named proof gap still open.

Family tradition

Held in family memory or older writing, but not yet backed by enough records.

Bardic or mythic

Story, symbol, teaching tale, or legendary framing. Meaningful, but not documentary proof.

Disputed

There are competing claims or meaningful disagreement.

Needs source

The claim may be true, but a source has not been attached yet.

Living memory

Based on the memory of someone living or recently living.
